The coiled up and expanding spiral movement reflects the "B" of the Hebrew word Bereshit (at the beginning) as well as macrocosmic processes.

The picture sequence Bereshit is subdivided into eight horizontal segments throughout. "Eight" is symbolic for the eighth day of creation of the redeemed world to come.
